It is important that we continue to work on becoming a more efficient nation in terms of fuel consumption, but when the exploitation of prices continues then the politicians are responsible for taking action to protect the American people.  Even if this means that domestic production of crude oil needs to be raised.  Anything will allow for lower pricing at the pumps and that equals to lower prices throughout the nation on everything else.
